Philip A. Morris was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 31, 2011 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. Born in Sapulpa, OK on September 19, 1931, he was transferred to Houston in 1962 and employed by Exxon 39 years. Philip was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and faithful servant of the Lord, dedicating much of his time after retiring to his church, family, and traveling. He was known for his gentle and loving character as shown to his three daughters and grandchildren. A great patriot who was fascinated by aircraft, he was previously involved in recruiting for the U.S. Military Academy. Predeceased by his daughter Pam, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn; daughter Cyndi Short and husband Howie; daughter Marci LaBorde and husband John; son-in-law Mike Williams and wife Cathy; grandson Philip Williams and wife Kim; granddaughter Abbey Williams; sisters Phyllis Wright of Edmond, OK and Linda Boyd of Stillwater, OK.
