Peter Chan

He was born on February 2, 1949 in Fukien, China, a son of the late Leng Tan and Chau Lan Lam. Peter graduated from the University of Houston and received a masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was married to Bertty Chan on November 19, 1978.

He is survived by his wife, Bertty Chan of Kingwood, Texas and his three sons, Eric Chan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Derrick Chan (wife, Lauren) of Mt. Pleasant, Pennsylvania, and Garrick Chan (wife, Lindsay) of Kingwood, Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, who he loved spending time with, Emma, Kaelyn, Gavin, Jensen, Camden and Cameron Chan.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, March 14, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM, and a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park. Reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Gladney Center for Adoption.
