Peggy “Darlene” Fisher Jackson went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 14, 2018. Born in Ivanhoe, VA, she was a devoted and loving wife, daughter, and mother, who will be loved and treasured for all eternity. She was a fantastic cook that loved to share delicacies with others, especially her brownies. She loved her time at the lake house, especially watching the sunsets from the deck. She loved feeding and watching birds, especially her beloved hummingbirds. She enjoyed traveling, marveling at all the wonders in this world, and feeling blessed at all the opportunities we had to enjoy them. She loved crafts all her life and leaves us many heirlooms to love and remember her by. She especially loved to teach sewing and quilting and was always thrilled with the treasures her students created. She was a past President of the American Sewing Guild of Houston and on their Board of Directors. In recent years, she served as Treasurer on the Board of the Fountain Lake Recreational Association and treasured the friends she made in that activity. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Carl Ronald “Ron” Jackson of Houston, TX, her son Christopher Ronald “Chris” Jackson (whom she loved unconditionally and was so proud of) and his precious wife Andrea Jackson Poleo of Humble, TX, her loving and devoted mother Mildred Ellen “Peggy” Fisher of Clinton, MS, and her beloved brother Mark Joseph Fisher and his wonderful wife Debbie of Clinton, MS. She was predeceased by her greatly missed father Retired MSG Joseph Elmer “Joe” Fisher. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday June 20, 2018 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at the Houston National (Veterans Memorial) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or Saint Jude’s Hospital for Children.
