Paul David Wagstaff, Sr., age 79, entered Heaven’s Gates Saturday, August 26, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 25, 1937, in Johnson City, New York, he was the son of the late Ethel and Ernest Wagstaff. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest “Bud” and Earl; four sisters, Ethel “Helen”, Etta, Faith and Ruth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Shirley; sister Carol and husband Bob; Loving Father of son Paul Jr.; Randee and wife Jonasu; and daughter Melody. Proud Pawpaw of Candice, Ashley and husband Jody; Phillip and wife Victoria; and his youngest grandson Austin. Great grandfather of Novalee, Kace and Avalynn. Step grandfather of Chloe, Hagan and Zefram. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
Paul was a (HSE) Health, Safety and Environmental Supervisor for more than 30 years. He enjoyed reading his Bible, fishing, dancing, and playing Yahtzee. Your Wings were ready, our Hearts were not, you will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Heaven must be Beautiful, since they got you.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 15, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. at Christ Covenant Church, 17000 Longenbaugh Drive, Houston, Texas 77095, 281-463-6600. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Covenant Church located at 17000 Longenbaugh Drive, Houston, Texas 77095 in memory of Paul Wagstaff. A private Committal Service will be held at a later date at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
