His family loves him always for his quiet strength and generously giving heart. Paul grew up in Galveston and LaMarque, but traveled the world as far as Scotland and China in his 20-year career with the U.S. Air Force and as field operations engineer for Halliburton and his own business of Innovative Sensor Solutions in which he owned two patents. But he and his wife Mary Ellyne were most happy when they returned home, especially their Galveston Bay house in Bayou Vista.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Paul and Evelyn Bennett; and father-in-law, the late Ole Berntsen Sr. His survivors include his wife, Mary Ellyne; brother, Tom Bennett; daughter, Kimberly; son-in-law, Richard Myers; grandchildren, Clayton and Mykayla; friend, Harlan Jillson; and numerous family and friends.
