Patricia Ruth Russell

Patricia Ruth Russell passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father at the tender age of 47. She left suffering behind after a long, four year battle with cancer and other lifelong illnesses on August 13, 2017. She was blessed enough to spend her last days at her home in Spring, Texas surrounded by love.

Patricia was soft-spoken, eloquent, and had a passion for writing. She loved to write poetry and touched many people through her impassioned use of the English language. Also, her faith in God gave much comfort and guidance to all who knew her. She touched the lives of countless others as she shared her unwavering faith, even amidst the debilitating struggle of lifelong illnesses. No matter what she faced, she always put the needs of others first in her heart. Her devotion to her friends and family knew no bounds as she constantly made everyone in her life feel as if they were the most important person in her world. Her love for Daniel, her husband of 18 years, was absolute; never will there be another two with such devotion to one another.

Patricia is preceded in death by her father, Henry Hart Mayhew, Jr. and grandmother, Mary Louise Seely. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Russell; her mother, Sondra Abarr; father, Greg Abarr; aunt, Janie Palmer; brother, Doug Mayhew; sisters, Anne Foster, Terry Asher, Mary Lynn Mayhew and Diane Gilchrist; nephew, Christopher Pace, and God-children Seth and Macey Miller.

Services will be held at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home: 13102 North Freeway Houston, TX 77060. They can be reached at 281-443-0063. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM followed by graveside service with reception to follow.
