Pat started her college journey at Auburn University in 1950. She met her future husband, Charles, at Auburn. After marrying, Pat and Charles relocated many times for Charles' work. They and their family lived in Florida, Alabama, Louisiana, New Jersey and Texas. By far, their favorite home was in Texas. After being a stay-at-home mother for many years, Pat held several positions, but her final employment was with M. W. Kellogg Engineering & Construction Company as a project secretary. She enjoyed great satisfaction with this position that she held until 1998 when she retired. She was also a proud member of the Auburn Alumni association. Pat was known for her love of reading and playing cards - particularly bridge.
Pat was predeceased by her husband of 30 years (Charles F. Perdue, Sr.), her grandson (James Mitchell Perdue), her parents Mitchell & Pauline (Morrow) Edwards, and her brother, Chip. She is survived by her son, Charles F. Perdue, Jr. (Jeanne Jay Perdue) and their children: Charles E. Perdue and Daniel S. Perdue (Katie Duffin Perdue) all of Houston, Texas. Her daughter, Patricia Caroline Perdue Christensen (Robert W. Christensen) of Saint Simon's Island, Georgia. Her brother-in-law, James A. Perdue, Jr. (Anna Turner Perdue) and her niece and nephew - Michelle Perdue Horan and J. Scott Perdue - all of Florida.
