Pamela Joe Kerr Smith was born to Marion B. Kerr and Joe McCarver, November 15, 1956. She grew up in Third ward Texas where she attended and graduated from Lamar Sr. High.
Pamela lived in several parts of Houston, Texas but finally settled down in Katy, Texas. Pamela joined Lakewood Church where she gave her life to Christ and was baptized. She really enjoyed singing so she joined the choir.
Pamela’s hobby was playing bingo. She would go at least six times a week and always sending us pictures of her winning and that was a lot, all the time.
Pamela is survived by her daughters; La Rue Carothers, Pamela Carothers and Deshaundra Washington (Henry), her sister Henriella Lindsey, brother Marion Jerome Kerr and host of grandkids, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her mother; Marion B. Kerr, father; Joe McCarver, husband James Jim Smith, daughter Shameka Washington, sister; Jewell Marie Williams, brother Marin Lewis Kerr and brother-in-law Robert Lee Lindsey.
