Pamela June Jackson, age 58, of Conroe, Texas journeyed to the Kingdom of Heaven, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in The Woodlands, Texas surrounded by family. She was born June 3, 1958, in Wichita Falls, Texas to parents Guy W. and Marion Faye Taylor. She grew up in Houston.
Pam discovered her purpose in life in 1980, when she started her own family. She was an amazing, dedicated mother. Pam fully supported her daughters during both good and bad times and was without a doubt their biggest fan. She wanted nothing more in life than for her daughters to be happy. She was extremely proud of the women and mothers they have become. Pam loved nothing more than to see the accomplishments of her daughters and granddaughters. Pam truly lived for her family and will continue to live through her family.
In April 2005, Pam met the man who would come to be the love of her life. Pam already had a wonderful, loving group of family and friends. With “Flash” Gordon Jackson, she now had a soul mate. Pam and Flash enjoyed nights out, hanging out with friends and family in the garage, concerts, and good times. They celebrated holidays to the fullest. The tables were always filled with food, the house completely decorated, and their doors and hearts were wide open. Pam loved the life she made with Flash. She also loved their dogs, Layla and Dakota, AKA her “girlfriends”.
Pam enjoyed making memories and had the ability to always enjoy the moment. She always had a heart of gold, a hardy laugh, and an infectious smile. She would often tell long stories and repeat them. Pam cherished her Holiday traditions and time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed playing board games and card games with her friends and family. She always had good times shopping, getting her nails done, and going out to eat with the girls. Her favorite vacationing spot was her annual family trip to the Frio River. Pam had a fun spirit and she loved to dance, especially off key. Her trademark was “let me tell you something…”.
Pamela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. We all have our own way of being who we were meant to be and Momma was a one of a kind Lady. May God hold you in his arms forever and keep you always. You are home and you are safe.
She is survived by her husband Harold Gordon Jackson; daughters: Shelly Orlando and her husband Marc, Shanna Ross and her husband Julian Howard and Sherrie Ross and her husband Brent Overholt; step-children: Rhonda Ross, Michael Ross, Ashlee Jackson, and Joshua Jackson; grandchildren: Kailey Gearing, Jalen Gearing, Makenzie Denning, Caydence Orlando, Kylie Orlando, Ashley White, Brandon Ross, Braden Ross, Marisa Ross, Brendan Ross, and Preston Buskirk; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
