One of Pablito's greatest accomplishments was migrating to the United States achieving the American dream and creating a better future for his family. Like many other migrants, he dedicated most of his time earning a fair day's wage for an honest day's pay. Pablito was selfless to a fault, straightforward, always there for others who needed him, he also had a tremendous work ethic that was impossible to go unnoticed. Many would consider Pablito a man of few words, but rarely, did he need more than that. For those that knew him, you understood his unconditional love and devotion to his family. He was what many considered a homebody who preferred a white t-shirt always neatly tucked into his jeans and ball cap over a fancy suit and tie.
In 1977 unfolded the greatest love story ever told. Unless you've been to the house more than once you have heard several versions. The greatest love story of his life began with a stroke of luck, or maybe divine intervention (maybe faith more than luck.) In the great city of Houston. Pablito and Eugenia “Sheny” both lived with roommates in apartments. On a sunny day, during their routine stroll, Sheny and her roommate Beatriz ran into a mutual friend and they exchanged numbers. One day, Eugenia calls the number, but instead, Pablito answers the phone. Instead of ending the call, they continued the talk. Their casual calls continued for over a year before they went on their first date. Yes, it was a blind date after a year of courting over the phone. As Pablito describes it, it was love at first sight. This sparked the beginning of 45 beautiful years filled with love and laughter. If Pablo were here today, he would say that Sheny's phone calls made his day, and eventually her love made him the man we all grew to know and adore. Pablito has been blessed to father six children and seventeen beautiful grandkids whom he deeply loved and cherished.
He is survived by his wife, Eugenia “Sheny” Solorzano and 6 children, Brenda Garza, Rocio Medina, Predeceased by Jocelyn Solorzano, Mynor Solorzano, Pablo Solorzano, and Alondra LeBeaux.
