Ora Mae (Dale) Scott 78, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in Rosharon, Texas. She was born September 25, 1940 in Pampa, Texas to Virgil Lee Scott and Ellen Louise Horn. Ora Mae (Dale) was a longtime resident of Houston, Texas. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Neil Odell Scott, sisters Lou Ann Scott Wooley and Virginia Lee Scott Hensarling. Left behind to cherish her memories are her daughters, Diane D. Janczak-Garcia & spouse Luis, Jeanette J. Janczak & spouse Thomas Massey, Karin A. Janczak-Arthur & spouse Timothy, Sharon A. Janczak-Hewitt & spouse Curtis, and Lisa L. Janczak-Mata & spouse Hector. She is also survived by grandchildren Dana M Garcia-Hazeslip, Louis Garcia II, Terra L. Hewitt Allen, Curtis E. Hewitt II, Ryan T. Arthur and Lauren M. Mata and 5 great-grandchildren and a sister Betty R. Scott-Loth. Mom/grandmother/great grandmother loved to cook and bake. She baked the most delicious Toll House Cookies and did not follow the recipe on the bag, she added a lot more stuff and baked a ton of them. She loved her coffee. She loved to sew, make jewelry and do all kinds of crafting. Mom/grandmother/great grandmother raised 5 daughters at 5523 Kiam, Houston, TX. She ran the Girl Scouts and Brownies in her neighborhood. For several years she sewed Christmas stockings and stuffed each of them for every student in each of her daughters’ classes. She was always a room mother for all her daughters. She loved children. There were always children from the neighborhood at her home playing. Mom/grandmother/great grandmother suffered with COPD for over 30 years. She is no longer in pain, she is at peace and knew she was dearly loved by her family, many friends and all who knew her and is now in GODS hands A Graveside service will take place Monday, June 3, 2019 @ 11:00 AM at Wallis City Cemetery, 1279 Wallis Cemetery Rd, Wallis, TX 77485.
