It is with great sadness to announce the sudden passing of Norma Rivera, age 65, of Houston Texas, on February 6, 2023. Norma was born to Manuel Cabrera and Elia Chong Cabrera, on December 3, 1957. She graduated from Stephen F Austin.
Norma was a dedicated mother to Jennifer Syphrett (Gregorio), Diego Luis Rivera (Vanessa) and Maximiliano Miguel Rivera (Lizbeth). She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She treasured all of her grandchildren: Michael, Valerie, Anahi, Diego Eleazar, Yelena, Arazeli, Luis Javier, and Niles Miguel. She dedicated her life to those around her and put everyone before herself. She was very loved and will be missed terribly. Norma will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Manuel (Lourdes), Rudy (Alicia), Richard and Victor. She preceded in death by Manuel(father), Elia(mother), Kleanthe(sister) and Bill(spouse)
A viewing is scheduled for Friday February 17, 2023, from 5-9pm at Forest Park Landale Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her and for all to carry the memory of who she was.
