Stella Mae was born May 24, 1934, in Tylertown, Mississippi to Odessya Henry and Vernell Bridges. While living in New Orleans she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She met and married Joseph Henry Morrison; they shared four sons and five daughters. She was a faithful member of St. Luke A.M.E until she moved to Houston, Texas, May 2005. She became a member of New Faith Praise and Worship Center. Preceded in death are: Odessya Henry, mother; Vernell Bridges, father; Joseph Henry Morrison, husband; Brothers: L. V. McGee, Jim Bridges, Lynn Bridges; Sisters: Johnnie M. Jackson and Katie M. Peters. She leaves to cherish her memory: Children: Purnell (JoAnn) Bridges, Calvin (Francine) Bridges, Wayne (Angela) Morrison, Andrea Morrison, Derrick (Danette) Morrison, Mary Morrison, Regina (Roland) Morrison, Margie (Desi) Rickerson and Debra Noel; Brothers: Clemons (Bobbie) Weary, Melvin L (Etta) Bridges, Sister: Jean Ambrose, Sister-in-laws: Lucille Bridges and Christine Bridges; 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
