Steven Craig Boykins was born on August 18, 1961 to the late Robert and Velma J. Boykins in Shreveport, LA. He was the 8th child of 10 children; four brothers preceded him in death (Spencer, Robert, Ronnie and Darrell) Craig as he was called by family attended elementary school in Houston, TX, middle school and some high school in Logansport. He graduated from Forest Brook High School in Houston, Texas. He played basketball in middle school and ran track in high school (he won several medals and trophies for track). Craig accepted Christ at an early age and attended several churches in the Houston area. During his years of employment he worked as a laborer, driver for several transportation companies and did warehouse work. Craig was very a very friendly person. He never met a stranger and LOVED TO TALK; in fact he liked talking with others so much he was given the nickname “Quack”. He leaves to mourn his passing, three sisters, Gwendolyn “Faye” (Curtis), Lisa and Tracy; two brothers, Terry and Kerry; three aunts, Helen, Josephine and Johnnie Ruth; a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, cousins and friends. He also leaves to cherish his memory two special friends, Beverly Sipps and Lina Boykins.
