Minister Charles E. Caldwell was born in Houston, TX on June 7, 1950 to the loving parents William and Anna McCollough. He grew up in the Heights and Scenic Wood area, where he attended Houston public schools. He graduated from M.B. Smiley High School. Charles served in the U.S. Army for three years. He later married Karen Williams, and was the father to five children. Charles was a very talented man. Some of his accomplishments prior to his illness included becoming the Front Desk Manager for a major hotel chain as well as a software trainer for the hotels. He became well known for his abilities in the many different states he traveled to. Charles also worked as a Union Representative at Mrs. Bairds Bakery, where his love for his fellow man emerged. He accepted his call to the ministry and was loved by many. Charles did not want to allow his sickness to overtake him so he chose to focus more on the things that he could do. He became a professional photographer and only needed six more hours to obtain a degree as a graphic designer. His spiritual upbringing started as a child where he attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church (Rev. Foreman). As a Minister he served under many great pastors including Christ Worship Center (Bishop Ed Johnson), Spirit of Life church (Dr. Kenneth A. Skelton), and Grace Church International (Pastor Derrick Davis), where he served faithfully as a minister until his passing. He was called home to be with his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father and mother William and Anna McCollough, and his son, Montroy Kerr. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Karen; four children; Charles Kerr(Naketha), Sharhonda Harrison, Charen Williams (Amy), and Charlaine Williams. One brother Carl Caldwell (Dianne), and one sister Pamela Postell (Michael), and his ten grandchildren, Charles Jr., Jalin, Markus, Lonnie, Kaleb, Rodney, Destiny, Justin, Daji, Destiny and Charity and of host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and family and friends Charles truly loved his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his family members, and he will be deeply missed.
