Mona W McAdams

Ramona W. McAdams went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2017. She was born on April 12, 1934 to parents Marvin and Naomi Russell. Ramona was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter Jodi McAdams and beloved cat Miss Gigi. Ramona is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Carmon R. McAdams; son, Russell Keith McAdams; and sister, Sherry McMillon.

Ramona will be greatly missed by her daughter, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was a lifetime member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Hillcrest Quilting Club. She loved to sew, specializing in baby quilts. She also attended business school, using those skills to work for the government and a credit union. Ramona was also employed by Jetero Hardware and Steel, taking care of the bookkeeping and remaining a loyal employee for many years. Ramona wrote poetry and she loved to plant flowers and work in her yard. She was a very talented, smart, and organized woman.

The family will receive friends for visitation Monday, February 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Grand Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home followed with a burial in Brookside Memorial Park.
