He leaves his wife of 50 years, Lai Wah Gong, his son Robert Chow, his grandson Tobias, and daughter-in-law Jeannie Chung.
Born on August 13, 1933, in Canton, China is the fourth of six children. He moved to Hong Kong where he worked for a dry cleaner. During the evenings, he would also work under a Chef to learn the trade. He later met Lai Wah Gong, fell in love and married. A year later, conceived one boy, Robert Kwok Leung Chow. Eager to seek opportunities, he took his family and left Hong Kong for the United States where he became a chef for a well-reviewed restaurant in Shreveport Louisiana, Kon Tiki. Several years passed, wanting new opportunity, he moved the whole family to Houston, Texas and opened his own take out Chinese Restaurant and later retired.
Both as a loving Father and Grandfather, he will be missed dearly.
