Mikey H. Garcia passed away on July 9, 2024 at the age of 32yrs. He was born on October 13, 1991, in Houston Texas. He was the cherished son of Elizabeth and Earnest Garcia, the loving brother of Ernest Garcia jr., and an uncle to his one and only niece Adelina Garcia.
It all started with, Mikey, who loved Disney. Working at the Disney store was one of the happiest times he had. His dream was to work at the Disney parks. He visited Disney quite often with his family and fiancé. As he loved to say, “I can go the distance”. Among his many talents, Mikey was very artistic, a great voice impersonator, which always put a smile on people’s faces and he was very creative. “His mind was a cave of wonders” ( Aladdin ) he loved video games, movies, and all types of music and you can’t leave out his love for orange soda. Walt Disney said, “Adults are kids that never grew up.” Just like Peter Pan, Mikey was a kid that never wanted to grow up.
Mikey was a very lovable kind person, he looked intimidating but was just a heart-warming teddy bear (A gentle giant). The only thing bigger than him was his heart. “Like so many things, it’s not what’s on the outside but on the inside that counts.” (Aladdin)
He was very determined when he put his mind to something, he was adored by children, children always loved being around him. He was a listening ear, if he knew you were having a bad day he would want to cheer you up. His bright presence always livened up the room. He was full of laughter joy and always with a smile on his face. Mikey was the voice of the things people thought but would not say. He always said it, comically and light heartedly.
Although Mikey’s spirit was youthful he was also resilient. He was the sword that couldn’t be pulled from the stone. Through his transgressions Mikey stayed true to his character, he remained beautiful, humorous, kind, and courageous. He never allowed the battles he fault to overcome him. He revealed just how brave and strong he really was. In the end he passed due to several health issues, his memory is lived on by those who love and knew him best. What Mikey valued the most was his family. He loved, cherished, and adored his family. He will be greatly missed by all. He survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Earnest Garcia, his brother Ernest Garcia jr, his niece Adelina Garcia, his grandmother Elena Martinez Garcia, his fiancé Audrey Alonso Solis, sister-n -law and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
