Michael Jason Randolph

Michael Jason Randolph of Houston Texas peacefully departed this life on May 23, 2011. He was born on March 28, 1979 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Michael graduated from Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, attended Tulane University for two years, and then obtained a Sous Chef de Culinary Arts diploma from the LeNotre Culinary Institute in Houston. After his graduation, Michael worked in Houston for Spencer’s Restaurant, Dharma Café, and Rainbow Lodge. In addition to his passion for cooking, Michael enjoyed running, billiards, mountain biking and spending time with cherished friends. Michael is survived by his parents, John and Cheri Randolph of Houston, TX. Michael is the grandson of Ruth and Jack Randolph (both deceased) of Jackson, Tennessee and Mary and Robert Haley (deceased) of Humboldt, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, Michael’s family has suggested that donations can be made to Scout’s Honor Rescue, 1302 Waugh Drive, Box 245, Houston, TX 77019.

A memorial service for Michael will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Boulevard, Houston, TX 77008. Restaurant service attire will be most welcome. On Monday, May 30, at 11:00 a.m. a funeral mass will be conducted for Michael at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Jackson, TN. A reception at the church will follow graveside services.
