Michael W. Odell

Michael W. Odell passed to eternal life on Feb. 17, 2015. He was born in Ewa, Hawaii on June 13, 1947 to Thomas R. Odell and Janice Baillio Odell. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Early Odell and son, Michael T. Odell and his wife, Victoria, of Houston, and precious granddaughter, Violet Marie. Also surviving are sister, Patti Odell Dickinson, of Kingwood, and brother, Dennis R. Odell and wife Penny Stevenson Odell, of Liberty, Texas. Other extended family includes nieces and nephews, Jason Dickinson, Julie Dickinson, Amber Odell, Heather Odell, Thomas Odell, and grand nieces and nephews, Samantha Dickinson, Megan Elliott, Jacob Elliott, Lucy Dilbert, Gracie Miller and J.J. Jarrell Jr.

Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 9149 Hwy 6 N, Houston, Texas 77095 from 5-8pm on Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, and a celebration of his life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 539 Main St., Liberty, Texas 77575 at 2:00pm, Feb. 21, 2015 with viewing at 1:00 pm.

Mike graduated from Texas Tech in 1970 with majors in business, finance, and real estate. He served in the US Marine Corps Reserve from 1969-73. Mike was a disciple of Christ and a member of Grace Anglican Community Church in Katy, Texas. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, cooking, fine dining, poker nights, motorcycle riding, and spending time with his granddaughter and family.
