Max was born in Houston, TX on April 12, 1991, and unexpectedly passed away on February 16, 2023. Although Max spent most of his life in Houston, from ages four through eleven, he lived in Germantown, TN where he started his education at Germantown elementary school, near Memphis TN. After moving back to Bellaire, TX in 2002, Max attended Pershing Middle and the Briarwood school, attended, and graduated from Bellaire High School. Max’s love for music drove him to study at the Art Institute for audio engineering for three years.
Max had a diverse set of interests including snowboarding, skydiving, and jet skiing and paying the drums. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii, Mexico and visiting his extended family in the United Kingdom. Most of all, Max’s true passion continued to be in music and he loved and frequently participated in the Houston music scene.
Max was taken away from us far too soon and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, James “Mac” McCarthy and Olan Ray Patterson and his grandmother Yvonne Patterson. He is survived by his parents, Kendell and Mary Patterson, his brother, Brooks, his grandmother, “G” (Shirley McCarthy), his uncle and aunt, Kevin and Elizabeth McCarthy, his uncle and aunt, James and Tracy McCarthy, his uncle Kelly Patterson, his aunt Kodi Patterson, his uncle and aunt Kory and Patty Patterson and many cousins who all loved him very much. Max has had small group of long- time friends whom he was very close to and cherished. His energy and zest for life will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Advantage Funeral Home located at 7010 Chetwood Drive Houston, TX 77081.
Celebration of Max’s life will be held immediately following the service at the 77 Event Center, next to the 401 Table & Tap at 6700 Ferris in Bellaire, Texas.
