She is preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Socorro Almanza, her loving husband Nicolas Cerda Sr., and her youngest daughter Stella Rodriguez.
She is survived by her children, Nicolas Jr and his wife, Carmen, Mary Dolores Silva and her husband, George Sr., Ruth Gonzales and her husband, Julian and Rose Mary Solis. She has 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and Resurrection Catholic Church.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 5 PM to 9 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, Texas 77023. We will depart in procession at 10:00 AM for the funeral mass which will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 915 Zoe, Houston, Texas 77020. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
