Born July 8, 1915 in Texarkana,Tx, she and her family later moved to the Rio Grande Valley where she grew up. She graduated from Mercedes High School in 1935 and later married Woodrow (Pete) Usry in 1937 .....They lived in Houston and had one son, Ronald Eugene Usry. Mary was born into the "greatest generation" She loved her family, she kept an immaculate house, was a great cook and kept abreast of "living and eating healthy" with the exception of her chocolate pudding, (to the delight of her grandsons)..She and Pete attended Central Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as Sabbath School secretary and Deaconess. She was also attended Bible Study Fellowship. She was a joyful person even when her health began to fail..smiles came easily to Mary Elizabeth. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete and son Ronald Eugene. She is survived by her sisters, Jacqueline McGuyre, San Antonio, Bobbie Lee Davis, Fort Worth, and Teatsy Ann and Owen Farris of Leander, Tx. daughter in law, Miriam Usry of Houston, grandsons, Greg Usry and wife Sherri, children, Zachary, Elizabeth, and Caroline. grandson Richard Clark Usry and wife Lisa, sons Cody and Travis, grandson Philip Bruce Usry and children, Amanda and Andrew, Austin, grandson Jonathan Usry and wife Anna, children Landon and Ellis, Dallas.
