Mary F. Lopez

Mary Lopez was born December 11, 1933 in Dallas, Texas and was the daughter of Augustine and Caroline Rios. On March 16, 1955 Eddie and Mary Lopez were united in marriage, enjoying over 63 years together.

While her husband was enlisted in the Air Force she stayed at home and took care of their five children. When he was away in remote assignments for three years, she managed the house as both mom and dad. All of her children and grandchildren enjoyed her cooking, as she was a very good cook. She sewed dresses for both her daughters for school and church. Mom was a great homemaker and wife.

Her grandchildren brought her much happiness in life. Mary was a wonderful wife, grandma, and great grandma who will truly be missed.

Survivors include her children, Albert Fernandez, Eddie Lopez II, Michelle Kirkpatrick, Linda Lopez; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, her sister Virginia Solano and brother Rudy Fernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Lopez, son Michael Lopez, sisters Dolores Welch and Anna Ybarra.

Funeral services will be held June 5, 2018 at the American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas, 77038.

She will be placed with her husband MSGT Eddie Lopez at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas, 77038.
