Mary Lee Henderson

Mary was born to Houston Samuel Sr. and Cleo Benjamin Samuel in Kountze, Texas, Hardin County on August 28, 1932. Mary accepted Christ in her life at an early age and was known to share her faith and belief in God. She attended G.W. Carver Elementary/High School in Kountze, Texas. In 1950 she met and married A.C. Randle, to this union, 10 children were born. Then later in 1974, she married Leonard Henderson. Houston, Texas became her new residence in 1964.

Mary's labor of life began as a domestic worker, went on to become an outstanding chef cook for Valien Seafood, lastly she retired from doing private home healthcare. Everyone who knew Mary knew she was a good-hearted person and would give you her last. She would also tell you how she felt whether you like it or not. It was love behind everything she stood on. Mary's passion for cooking was something that many people admired, those good potato pies, the family will surely miss. She had no problem of making sure everybody had a plate. "Give us today our daily bread, Matthew 6:11" was one of her favorite verses.

She was a faithful Christian, her early fellowship at Haynes Temple COGIC was under Reverend Haynes, Reverend Wilson, & Reverend Redmond, Kountze, Texas. Mary's final home of fellowship was at Bethel Temple, COGIC under Superintendent Harold Tisdell, Houston, Texas. She was a dedicated member, loved doing pastor aide. She instilled Christianity in all her children, she loved gospel music and reading her bible daily. On August 14, 2023 Mary departed this life with a high purpose and left an everlasting impression that will be truly missed by everyone.

She is preceded in death by her father, Houston Samuel Sr.; mother, Cleo Benjamin Samuel; six sisters and three brothers, husbands, A.C. Randle and Leonard Henderson; sons, Clifton Randle, Roger Randle; daughters, Nola and Ola Randle (twins); granddaughter, Charae; grandson, Deshawn.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Rosa Randle, Marilin Randle, Linda Seawood; sons, Jesse, Raymond, and Archie (Randle). She has 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grand, and 7 great great-grand; sister, Lorraine Samuel-Bird (Frank); brothers; Houston Samuel Jr. (Ruby); J.C. Samuel (Lisa); great-aunt, Berda Willis of California, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.
