Maria del Carmen (Mary Carmen) Trejo Arriaga, was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was called to be with the Lord on February 22, 2021 at the age of 78.
Mary Carmen was born to Isabel Trejo and Tomasa Galdiano, on December 3, 1942, in Houston, Texas. She married Alexander Arriaga, Jr. in 1959, and they lived together in Houston, Texas. Together they raised five (5) children.
She enjoyed reading her bible, attending mass, gardening, shopping with her granddaughters, attending her grandchildren’s sport events and music performances, cooking for her family, doing crossword puzzles, attending church festivals, dancing, singing, attending the Astros games, and going to the Houston Rodeo to eat her turkey leg, but most of all, she looked forward to and enjoyed the family gatherings.
She is preceded in death by her parents Isabel and Tomasa Trejo, her siblings Benito Trejo, Esther Gonzalez, Felix Trejo, Edward Trejo, Margaret Gonzalez, Roy Trejo, and John Trejo and her grandson Larry Orosco, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Alexander Arriaga, Jr.; her children, Alice (Raul) Rodriguez, Yolanda (Rudy) Melchor, Gloria (Larry) Orosco, Beatrice Arriaga-Perales and Alexander (Andrea) Arriaga, III; her grandchildren, Ernestina (Jesse) Martinez, Tania (Karl) Clarete, Anthony (Ernestine) Perales, Isabel Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, III, Johnathan Perales, Alexander Arriaga, IV, Andrew Arriaga, and Joshua Perales; her great grandchildren, Larry Orosco, III, Alexis Martinez, Jesse Martinez, Jr., Madison Orosco, Mason Orosco and Abraham Orosco; her siblings, Tom Trejo and Tony (Olga) Trejo, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Perales, Raul Rodriguez, III, Johnathan Perales, Alexander Arriaga, IV, Andrew Arriaga and Joshua Perales. Honorary Pallbearer will be Larry Orosco, III in honor of his late father Larry Orosco, Jr.
