Dear Uncle Alex and my Cousins, It seems like yesterday that we were just warming up from that dreadful cold. And I never thought this would happen to Aunt Carmen. I will never forget that day or date, a President day. When Grandmother went to Heaven, I remember Grandpa saying about Grandma, "...She gave me many soldiers..." May Aunt Carmen pray for us and help us, and now help our Country.  Sister. Lv you All and our Trejo Families.


Dearest Uncle Alex, Son and Aunt Carmen's Girls and your Families, I celebrated Aunt Carmen's Day yesterday because it was on a recovering cold Monday that I received the news coming out of an H.E.B. grocery store here in San Antonio and was stunned, and the first thing I thought of was, -I don't have a picture of Aunt Carmen!
...Then we received this lovely picture of her. Later in the months, I remembered that I think she was in my Parents' wedding picture. Mom had mentioned a bit like it. Lv each of you and our Trejo Families. From our Family to yours.  Sister Theresa Trejo, S.S.C.J.

These are just a few thoughts and feelings I want to share with my Aunt Carmen’s beloved family and friends. Among her many nephews and nieces she was always respectfully remembered as  “Aunt Carmen”, despite  being closest to the ages of her oldest nephews and nieces. Her laughter was unique and contagious.  You could say that if everyone was laughing in a room , hers would stand out as very unique and special. I could always drop by  her home unexpectedly and she and Uncle Alex would always make you feel special and honored to have you visit them. During conversation you could not help but notice her listening intently to what you had to say as if listening to a famous celebrity. She truly demonstrated and took the art of conversation to a higher level by keying in to being an unselfish listener and putting you first. Her picture featured in this web  site testifies to her illuminating face when she smiled and reminds me of her beloved sister, Aunt Esther. Please, my very heart felt love and condolences goes to her immediate family and especially, Uncle Alex.

Dearest Arriaga & Trejo Families, we are sending our deepest condolences to you on the recent passing of our Tia Carmen. I remember Tia Carmen, my Grandma Margaret's sister, to always have a beautiful smile and humorous chuckle that always put us children at ease and in a good mood during family visits. I also cherish the memories of music playing and the wonderful aromas of food cooking in her kitchen that will stay with me forever.
