Mary Ann Pergerson Naron, passed away January 17, 2014 at the age of 83. Ann was born July 25, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee to Edward H. and Addie H. Pergerson. Ann was married 44 years to M. Wesley Naron, who preceded her in death. Ann became a member of St. Matthew's United Methodist Church in 1958, where she was employed as church secretary from 1976 until 2011. Ann touched the lives of many people in a great way, both family and friends. She was the light in the eyes of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by sister Reba Pergerson Gray of Nashville, Tennessee; son Philip W. Naron; daughter Patricia A. Tieken, both of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law Betty Loflin, of Hughes Springs, Texas and grandsons Bryan A. Tieken, Clinton W. Naron and Scott W. Tieken, all of Houston, Texas. The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Loving Care Cottages for their wonderful nurturing of Ann during her residency. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Earthman Resthaven. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 4300 N. Shepherd Dr., Houston, Texas with interment to follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
