Martin Lee Mayse, age 73, was born May 2, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Martin grew up in the Oil Field towns of West Texas, Fort Stockton, Langtry and Iraan. He graduated from Fort Stockton High School and was a roughneck during the summers. He attended Mid-Western University of Wichita Falls and Sul Ross University of Alpine TX.
He had a long career in the oilfield with City Sales for Wilson Supply, Mid American Oil & Gas, President of Warbonnet Drilling Company, Contract Rep. for Resource Drilling, and Salesman for Champions Pipe. He was a Mason and a Shriner from the Houston Arabia temple. He had a love for hunting and fishing. Never met a bartender he didn’t like. Loved to shop. He always learned the names of people he delt with regardless of the type of business. Casinos were always a draw for him. His favorite place to go was Lake Tahoe. He spent the majority of his time on the back porch of the Lakehouse watching deer, squirrels and birds.
He is preceded in death by his Parents:Roy and Verna Mayse of Fort Stockton, TX , Wife: Melinda of Houston, Sister:Judy Puckett of Fort Stockton, Nephew: Sonny Puckett of Fort Stockton, TX.
He is survived by daughters: Terah Hogan and husband Jeffrey of Magnolia, TX, Natalie Roberts and husband Ben of Canton, TX. Brother: David Mayse and wife Cindy of Houston, Sister: Jeannie and husband Ricky Northcut of Fort Stockton, TX, Stepsister: Glenda and husband James Leavelle of San Angelo, TX. Step Brother- Wayne Elkins of Fort Stockton, Grandchildren: Caleb, Jonah, Nathan, Aedyn, and Ashlyn. Nephews and Nieces: Allen, Julie, Mikey, Marty, Cody, Christopher, Molly, Taylor
