It has been a year since  you  been gone and we all miss you so much, I often find myself laughing about the funny things you did as a child but I will always miss sharing our  birthdays because we share the same month and I will always cherish the awesome gifts and the birthday wishes you have gave me. It has been a year and your legacy still lives on.  At Houston Methodist Hospital your name finds its way to continue to be brought up in conversations as you were such a big part of the hospital.  You are missed.  Gone but never forgotten!

They say time heals all wounds but this pain I will endure for a life-time. I’m thankful for the time we had and the memories that were made. Until we meet again twin sleep in peace. I will always love you.

I can’t tell you how much I love you. You are a devoted husband and father. But most of all you were my best friend and my rock. We always lean on each other no matter what. We have a great love. God has blessed us with 28 years together. I love you. I will miss our nights together. Hey Young Man! We never got to have that last drink. We always had a good laugh over a glass of Crown. No mixer, couple ice cubes is how we liked it. We had some times didn’t we, whether it was the basketball court, shooting pool or sending memes and videos back and forth through text messages. I remember your voice like yesterday saying “boy you crazy” with the signature laugh. Then we’d have our serious conversations, when you’d tell me how proud you were of all I was doing. I know I was something else when I was younger and even though you’re gone way too soon, you were here to see me turn it all the way around. I haven’t reached the top yet, but I will!! And when I see you again, we’ll have thee glass of select barrel… two ice cubes, no mixer. I love you dad!

Hearing the news that Mark Williams passed away broke my heart.

Everytime I  would see him in the hallways of Methodist, or when he would come to my office, I had to get my hug. Then he would always ask about my parents.  Then he would talk about his family.  I told Mark that his wife is so blessed to have him as her husband,  he told me, he was the blessed one. He had a love for his family that I admired.

When he got sick and came back to work, he came to my office,  got my hug and we talked about his illness, I told him he was going to be alright,  God got you! He still had his famous smile on his face.

I will miss him dearly. I will miss my hugs and our talks.  He was very caring,  loving,  and funny with a huge heart. 

To the Williams family,  may God give you comfort,  peace and strength during your time of grief.


To The Williams Family,

May God's grace and perfect love keep you during your season of grief.  Remember, God will comfort us in our grief when we turn to Him.  We love strongly and we grieve strongly and that's ok!

Mark and I were childhood friends, we grow up on the same street. He was younger than me, so I always looked at him as a little brother. 
Its been over 20 years since we seen each other and this news is not only shocking but it brought tears to my eyes.  
Mark, I can tell by the comments that God been good to you and you have been bless with a beautiful family and have met some good friends and co worker.  So now its time to REST my Friend.

Mark and I grew up in the same neighborhood, one street over; went to the same school and who would have thought we would be working together.  Mark, I will cherish the memoires of us sharing old and new stories.  As a coworker, we would talk for hours about our growing years.  Even when I left the department, we would meet somewhere in the hospital and have our 1:1 conversation.  I will really miss those moment.

To Mark's Family: I want you to know how much Mark was loved by those who worked with him. I worked with Mark for many years, and he was always friendly and warm. We all knew Mark had health struggles, but he maintained a smile even when we knew he felt terrible at times. I will miss talking to Mark when I go to the Main campus and seeing his smile. I pray that God brings you peace and comfort in this painful time. Mark was a good man and will be missed, but his spirit will live on in each of us that he touched.

My deepest sympathies/condolences for your loss.  I'm deeply saddened to have lost such a great friend and colleague.  Still can't believe he's gone, still expecting to receive an email/call from him.  He was my supervisor for over 10 years but also a great friend to lean on through thick and thin, at work and personal lives.  My thoughts/prayers are with all of his loved ones. God bless.

I was very shocked and saddened when I heard that Mr. Williams had passed away. I will always remember him for his encouraging words and advice that he offered to me.  He was a big guy, but a gentle spirit.
When he found out that I was originally from Barbados, he began to call me the Prime Minister of Barbados.  He promised that one day he would visit the country. Now that he is no longer able to do so, I extend the invitation to the Williams's family.  He will be surely missed. 
However Family, remember, " to be absent in the body, is to be present with the Lord. 
May God and strengthen and comfort you as you grieve the passing of your, husband, father and grandfather. 

It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to the Williams family.  I have know Mark for the last three years and he and I would speak for what we thought would be only a few minutes but always turned into hours.  I appreciate the time that I was able to have with him as a supervisor and to call him a friend and supervisor.  He always wanted to see me learn a lot and gave me plenty of opportunities to show I was ready for leadership.  He was a great mentor to me and I will miss him.  He is one of few leaders I have had that I have had the opportunity to work well with through great undrestanding.  I will miss our hour/minute talks.  Even though his work was done here he will continue to touch angels in heaven and guide those new angels to come.  Rest in Peace my friend.  May the Lord bless your family with peace in this time of rememberance.  God Bless you all.

Mark was wonderful to work with and always put his employees before himself.  Mark handled his business professionally and took pride in getting the job done without others needing to get involved.  A true family man, Mark was proud to be a husband, father, and grandfather.  Mark will be dearly missed.  Condolences and prayers to the family.

Mr. Williams, you are truly missed. I miss having you as a shift supervisor.  You displayed great leadership no matter how bad you were feeling.  I will never forget the weekly laughs and conversations we had.

After Hurricane Harvey, Mr. Williams made my daughter feel so at ease and even became her favorite person at the hospital. What a beautiful soul! There was so much happening and such a tremendous amount to do and to face at that time, yet Mr. Williams had room to bring joy, love and laughter to the kids during their days "at work" with us. Thank you for honoring us with your precious presence in our lives! I believe and know all your desires and purpose are fulfilled in Heaven as you abide in our Father's eternal reward.

Mark was always so very helpful and great to work with.  I first met him back in 2013 when I was hired on at Houston Methodist.  The man was very passionate about his job, and he was great at it.  We're all going to miss him!  My prayers to the Williams family.
