Mark Thomas Elliott

Mark Thomas Elliott, age 62, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on May 24, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 1st, 1960 at Camp Pendleton, California to George and Mary Elliott.

Mark graduated from Hitchcock High School class of 1978. He was an avid fisherman and at one time captain of his own shrimp boat (Lady Alice). After shrimping he went on to a lifelong successful career in IT.

Technology came naturally to him and as his career flourished he was a respected leader and mentor.

In October of 2013, Mark married his soulmate Jennifer and they spent 13 wonderful years together. Mark was a longtime supporter of the Coastal Conservation of Texas and together they spent many weekends fishing on their boat “Dos Takeela”.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Mary Elliott, sister Deborah Kathryn, and brother Edwin Louis. Mark is survived by his loving wife Jennifer Ann Elliott, son Mark Thomas Elliott Jr. (wife Alexandra) daughter Ashley Renee Elliott, brother Richard Allen Elliott (wife Janice), Step son William Ryan Clark (wife Stephanie) and granddaughter Hadley Ryan Clark, along with many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Celebration of life services for Mark T. Elliott will be held at Asbury United Methodist Church located at 5354 Space Center Blvd, Pasadena, Texas 77505 on Thursday, June 8th at 1pm with reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the CCA (Coastal Conservation Association of Texas)
