Marjorie Everett Hunsucker, 87, passed away in Houston, Texas, on April 5th, 2014. She was born in Winchester, Kansas, on May 2nd, 1926, to George Vernon Everett and Alice McDermond Everett. Marge was preceded in death by her parents; three older sisters; and her loving husband of 53 years, Robert (Bob) Hunsucker. Marge is survived by her daughter, Tara Hunsucker; son, Timothy Hunsucker, M.D., and wife Janet Mohr, M.D.; grandchildren Jennifer (Jenna) Parrott and J. Hunter Hunsucker; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
Marge and Bob were charter members of both Hillside Christian Church in Kansas City, Missouri, and later Memorial Drive Christian Church in Houston, Texas. Marge was the ultimate great woman behind a great man. Not only did she arrange for Bob’s first position at the PanEnergy Corporation which eventually led to the CEO office, but she also taught him the game of golf, which they enjoyed for many years together. Marge’s role as an executive wife was supplemented by painting her much loved Kansas sunflowers, travel, and service to charitable organizations. Her most valued role was as both mother and Mimi – she lived and breathed unconditional love.
