Marilyn Zimmermann Lewis passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at age 89. She was born December 5, 1932, to Eugene and Clemence Zimmerman in New Orleans, Louisiana. Marilyn worked as an executive secretary, displaying an extraordinary commitment to her role until retiring at age 70. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; watching each Astros and Rockets game, spending time with her family, and playing bingo with friends. Marilyn was a devoted single mother to her three sons and a past parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Metairie, Louisiana. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her loving son, Ricky. She is survived by her sons, Ronnie and Douglas; daughter-in-law, Kathleen; grandchildren, Stephen, Heather, Kyle, and Robin; and great-grandchildren, Jaden, Hailey, Ava, Dawson, Adalyn, and Iris.
The family is grateful to the staff at Memorial Hermann Hospital for delivering excellent care to Marilyn.
