Maria De Jesus Ventura, age 96, of Houston, Texas passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022. Maria was born June 20, 1926. Maria is remembered by her family as someone with particular taste, she knew what she liked and she kept it that way. Starting from her hair to her clothes, she was known for wearing only dresses, skirts, low heels, always had to have a belt with her clothing and her hair was always dyed. She always had her happy songs of Aniceto Molina and always sang her "Gloria ah Dios". Her favorite color was yellow and her favorite dishes were seafood along with rice pudding, coffee, and chicken soup. Maria always wanted to have salvadorian food (bread, nuegados, tamales) for holidays and festivities as she was proud of her traditions.
Maria is survived by her husband, Eusebio Cruz; her daughter Rosa Ventura; her daughter Reyna Ventura Castro; her daughter Irma Ventura; her daughter Elsa Ventura; her daughter Luz Ventura; her daughter Blanca Ventura; her son Francisco Ventura; her son Juan Antonio Ventura; her son Ernesto Ventura; her son Carlos Ventura; and her son Ramon; her sister Victoria Ventura, her sister Victorina Ventura and her sister Presila Ventura; her grandchild Diana, her grandchild George, her grandchild Walter, her grandchild Uriel, her grandchild John, her grandchild Kelvin, her grandchild Leslie, her grandchild Mauricio, her grandchild Rosa Maria, her grandchild Jose, her grandchild Hedri, her grandchild Carlos, her grandchild Merary, her grandchild Ivan, her grandchild Leonor, her grandchild Jazmine, her grandchild Christopher, her grandchild Nicholas, her grandchild Maybell, her grandchild Juanita, her grandchild J.R., her grandchild Marialena, her grandchild Oscar and her grandchild Sonia.
A visitacion for Maria will be held Monday, October 3, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A servicio funebre will occur Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A sepelio will occur Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.

María De Jesús Ventura, de 96 años, de Houston, Texas falleció el lunes 26 de septiembre de 2022. María nació el 20 de junio de 1926. María es recordada por su familia como alguien con un gusto particular, sabía lo que le gustaba y lo mantuvo de esa manera. Desde su cabello hasta su ropa, se caracterizaba por usar solo vestidos, faldas, tacones bajos, siempre tenía que llevar un cinturón con su ropa y su cabello siempre estaba teñido. Siempre tuvo sus canciones alegres de Aniceto Molina y siempre cantó su "Gloria ah Dios". Su color favorito era el amarillo y sus platos favoritos eran los mariscos junto con el arroz con leche, el café y la sopa de pollo. María siempre quiso tener comida salvadoreña (pan, nuegados, tamales) para fiestas y festividades ya que estaba orgullosa de sus tradiciones.
