Maria De Jesus Gaytan

Sadly left us on June 2, 2022, at the Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital at 55. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Alejandro Gaytan, father, sister, brother, and nephews.

Maria is survived by her children and grandchildren, Kristian Vargas, Andrea Gaytan, Beatriz Gaytan, Bibi Gaytan, Selina Gaytan, Ximena Lopez, Kristian Vargas, Milo Careaga, and Angel Maldonado. She is also survived by her mother Bertha Vargas, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria enjoyed dancing and meeting her favorite musical groups with her siblings. She loved family gatherings, and would always make time to visit her mother. Maria had a great sense of humor, she made friends easily. Her flour tortillas were her children and grandchildren's favorite. She was a food lover, she always knew what she wanted to eat next. Maria was a great mother and lived for children and grandchildren, she will be dearly missed.

The viewing ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 4 pm- 8 pm at the Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77060. The burial mass will be held at Prince of Peace, 19222 TX-249, Houston, TX 77070, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 10:30 am.
