Mrs. Maria I. Flores

She met Cristino in Brownsville High School and married on August 6, 1960. Maria worked in Cash Management at Centerpoint Energy for 10 years. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista and Principe de Paz. Maria had a passion for yoga, walking, and dancing.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Manuela Tijerina; brothers, Felix Tijerina Jr., Guillermo E. Tijerina, Daniel G. Tijerina; sister, Maltilde Bazan; grandsons, Ruben Flores Jr., and Joyceon Flores.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Ruben Flores and wife Dora, Chris A. Flores and wife Rosie; daughters, Lillian Flores, Laura and husband Guadalupe Adame; 9 grandkids, Jacob Adame, Ashley Flores, Celestia Gonzalez, Kailie Martin, Selena Burciaga, Xavier Flores, Matthew Flores, Brianna Flores, and Jennifer Gomez; 16 great-grandkids, Jacob, Joseph, Arian, Jocelyn, Rafael, Mia, Xavien, Kehlani, Averie, Sebastian, Josiah, Vanellope, Melody, Lorenzo, Alysia, and Kaisen.

Serving as pallbearers are Jacob Adame, Xavier Flores, Matthew Flores, Gerardo Burciaga, Raphael Gonzalez, Logan Martin and John Lopez. Serving as Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Adame Jr., Joseph Adame, Raphael Gonzalez Jr., Sebastian Burciaga, Josiah Burciaga, Xavien Gonzalez.
