Born the 10th of June, 1930 en Buenavista, Gro, México
Name of Parents: Isaac Ocampo & Maria Cruz Ocampo
Entered the Congregation on February 14, 1952 at the age of 21.
Pronounced her first vows el December 8, 1954 in México, D.F.
Her Final Vows on December 7, 1959 in Houston, TX
Silver Jubilee on June 10, 1979 in Houston, TX
Golden Jubilee on July 18, 2004 in Houston, TX
She began her Apostolate at St. Mary’s Seminary in Houston, TX on January 20, 1955.
Most of her life she was faithful to the Teresian and foundational charism dedicated to the apostolate in the Seminaries collaborating through her authentic witness of her consecrated life expressed in the simplicity of her service, prayer and love of the Virgin Mary her mother, in the following places:
• St. Mary’s Seminary, Houston, TX
• St. Bede’s Seminary, Illinois
• Notre Dame Seminary, Indiana
• St. Vincent Seminary, Beaumont, TX
• Kenrick Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri
In her later years, she requested to be moved to the mission communities as her desire for spreading the gospel was great. She served for several years in the following missions:
• Mission Community of Our Lady Good Hope, Hope, AR
• Mission Community of St. Therese of Lisieux, DeQueen, AR
As her health was diminishing and was less able to move she was transferred to:
• “St. Joseph’s” - House of Prayer– Houston, TX
where she continued to pray for an increase in religious vocations and anyone who asked for her prayers.
