Margaret grew up in Sulphur, LA with her parents Harry and Margaret, sister Barbara.
Family, friends, and her faith were her passion. She was a stay at home mom for 12 years then entered the workforce when husband Paul went back to school for his PhD. Margaret continued to work outside the home until she retired in 1994.
After graduating Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Margaret married and followed husband Paul to New Jersey for his 2 years in the Army. After the 2 years, they returned to Louisiana to continue growing and raising the family.
In 1970, Margaret and Paul uprooted the family from southern Louisiana and moved to Austin, Texas. Margaret lived in Austin 48 years before moving to Richmond.
Margaret was active in her church, serving multiple terms as President of the Saint Mary Cathedral Catholic Church's Catholic Daughters chapter in Austin. She helped with breakfasts, bazars, and multiple events in her 31 years at the Cathedral. When not at church, Margaret could be found playing bridge four and sometimes even seven days a week. She spent time everyday taking care of her yard, from pulling weeds to watering plants and trimming bushes - her yard was always well groomed.
She is preceded in death by her husband Paul and son Patrick. Margaret is survived by sister Barbara, sons Robin, Mark, Kent, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, TX, 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, Texas 77079, Friday August 18, 2023 at 10:00AM.
