Marcus Rodriguez

Marcus Rodriguez, 89, went to be with the Lord on August 23, 2021. As a proud Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was awarded a National Defense Medal and honorably discharged in1956. He lived life to the fullest throughout his years and was a retired Chef from River Oaks Country Club.

Marcus lived in Houston, TX and was preceded in death by his parents, Juan & Margarita Rodriguez, his wife - Guadalupe Rodriguez and his son, J.M. Rodriguez.

He is survived by his children; Patty Barron & son-in-law, Paul Barron; Sandra Rodriguez; Shirley Gonzales; Janey Stringer & son-in-law, Daniel Stringer; Marcus Rodriguez, Jr. & daughter-in-law, Veronica Rodriguez; Belinda Rodriguez, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother; Alfred Rodriguez and sisters, Delia Castro; Alice Gongora & brother-in-law, Florentino Gongora.

A visitation for Marcus will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM and a celebration of life at 10:30 AM at the Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A committal service with military honors will follow on Thursday, September 2, 2021 promptly at 1:15 PM to 2:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038.
