He met the love of his life: Ms. Elise Wood, and on November 17, 1973, they were married in Lawtell, Louisiana. Their holy union brought the couple one daughter: Belinda Elaine Chambers.
Mack graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Sunset, Louisiana. He attended a trade/vocational school to learn more about repairing small engines. He opened a small engine repair business known as Mack’s Lawn Mower Shop (he referred to it as the LMS). He loved the LMS and put lots of hours, blood, sweat and tears into making it a successful small business.
Most importantly, Mack Joseph obeyed the gospel. He would often talk to strangers about God’s word, load them up in his white van, and bring them to church. He used all opportunities to share the gospel with others, even while receiving his treatments.
He loved spending time with family, cooking, playing with Smokey, and watching the old western shows on TV. His favorite pastime included making sausage and boudin with a smile.
He passed away to meet the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Joseph of fifty-one years; one child, Belinda (Mack); one grandchild, Katilynn; two brothers Harry (Gloria), David (Brenda); one sister, Elizabeth (Leroy) and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Leroy and Dora Joseph; his sister Dora Barra; and his brothers, Vincent and Robert Joseph.
