Lynwood Joseph Lewis Jr. Better known as "PJ" was born on January 24, 1954 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was the first of the seven children born to Lynwood Joe Lewis, Sr. and Georgia Mae Vital Lewis. PJ accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He was baptized at St. Edwards Catholic Church in New Iberia, Louisiana. Upon moving to Houston he became a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Lastly, he became a member of Walking in the Light Ministries. PJ became employed with Koenig Iron Works as a welder for several years. He was then employed by KLM Manufacturing. He retired from Dr. Pepper as a distribution specialist at an early age. He married Jacquelyn Wynne and to this union two children were born. Joseph Lynn Lewis and Schelcia Dra'Vohn Lewis.PJ was preceded in death by his parents, Lynwood Joe Lewis Sr. and Georgia Mae Vital Lewis. PJ memories will be forever cherished by his five children Joseph Lynn Lewis of Spring, Texas, Schelcia Dra'Vohn Lewis of Spring, Texas, Edward "EJ" Cunningham of Victoria, Texas, Torie Jackson of Houston, Texas, Terrence Jackson of Houston, Texas. Seven precious grandchildren: Dre'Vohn, Jadah, Jia, Darren, Larry, Torian, and Terrance Jr. He he will forever be ingrained in the hearts of his six sisters and brothers: Gwendolyn (Jim) of Cypress, Texas, Evelyn of Beaumont, Beverly and Dwayne (Pamela) of Beaumont, Texas, Philtherian (Ron) of Richmond, Texas, Charles (Janice) of Houston, Texas. THE LEWIS SEVENPJ has approximately 30 nieces and nephews; 52 great nieces and nephews, aunts Dorothy Butler of New Iberia and Rosalee Vital of Houston, Texas. One uncle, Joseph Paul of New Iberia, Louisiana. His forever "baby sisters" Audry Hill and Barbara Neal. And a host of cousins and friends.
