Houston resident, Lynette Charlene Baird-Rendon-Winchester was born in Del Rio, Texas on May 22, 1966. She lost her life in a car accident on October 27, 2023, at the age of 57.
Lynette graduated from Temple High School in 1984 and received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from University of Phoenix in 2010. She enjoyed her challenging work in global lifecycle and supply chain management at Hewlett-Packard for over 20 years.
Lynette loved the water. Throughout her life, she spent countless hours at the beach and would frequently fish, kayak, boogie board, snorkel, and SCUBA – or simply walk along the beach and enjoy all the beautiful colors, sounds, and breezes blowing in from distant shores.
Lynette was a lifelong athlete who enjoyed soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball, racquetball, tennis, and golf. She was a huge sports fan, especially football and her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She was also a creative talent whose hobbies included decorating and painting.
Throughout her life, Lynette was an animal lover. This included her parrot Amadeus, a beautiful salt-water aquarium, and her many dogs which usually numbered 2 or 3 at any given time. She leaves behind Bandit, Bentley, and her most recent rescue Panther.
She is preceded in death by her one true love and first husband Cornelio Mendez-Rendon to whom she was married on March 21, 1986, and who died an untimely death on August 11, 1988. She is also predeceased by grandparents Mellon Campbell Baird, Katherine Elizabeth Baird, Henry Lawrence Pipkin, and Ruby Maxine Pipkin.
Lynette is survived by her only daughter Alexandra Jo Winchester as well as her parents William Charles and Beverly Jean Baird, brother Larry Kent Baird, Aunt Janiyln Elizabeth Tesar, Uncle Larry De Forrest Pipkin and numerous cousins.
