Lupe Luna Jr.

Lupe Luna, Jr of Deer Park, Texas was born December 23, 1935 and passed away July 4, 2017. In 1958 Lupe (Pio) married his first and only love that he adores Dolores Luna and together they began their family raising 5 loving children Patricia Luna Reyes- spouse Daniel, Michael Luna, Danny Luna-spouse Lisa, James Luna, and Pamela Luna Grizzle. He was known as PoPo to his Grandchildren Chris Reyes-spouse Nicole, Teresa Reyes Gatlin-spouse Shayne, Nicholas Rodgers spouse- Paige, Nicole Luna, Briana Luna and preceded by Grandson James Luna, Jr. He was also loved dearly by all 10 of his Great-Grandchildren. Surviving siblings include Rosie Campbell and Martha Ramos and many other relatives that loved him dearly. He is known by all his loved ones as a Happy Man who always had a smile on his face.

Lupe served in the United States Army as a Paratrooper from 1954-1957. He had a passion for his career of 50 years in Lithography at Wetmore Printing Co. and was a leader in his field and well respected in the local commercial printing business. He loved the outdoors and his greatest hobby was saltwater fishing any chance he got. He also loved to take the family on camping trips, to the beach, Astros baseball games, amusement parks etc.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10 am with funeral services beginning at 11 am and interment immediately following. All services will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery.

He will be greatly missed by many.
