Luis Lopez

Luis Lopez age 71 died on Oct. 4, 2019. Mr. Lopez was a native of South Houston. He had a 20 year career in the Air Force where he spent many years in Europe, having adventure after adventure. Once he retired from the Air Force he joined Northrop Grumman in California. Before he retired completely he enjoyed working at the Mojave Air and Space Port in California where retired planes are placed in a boneyard.

Luis is preceded in death by his mother Paulita Garza Lopez and his father Lupe Lopez, Sr. and his oldest sister Graciela. He leaves his children – daughter Tanisha Nolan and her husband David of Corvallis, MT and their two children Gabriel and Kristin, as well as his son Joel Lopez of Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition two brothers Lupe, Jr. and Ruben Lopez and two sisters, Lucy Rivera and Linda Mendiola all from the Houston area. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM. A funeral service will be at Forest Park Lawndale chapel Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in police procession to the Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, TX 77033.
