Lucille Ona Ansley, age 81, of New Caney, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022. Lucille was born July 27, 1940. Lucille Ansley was the oldest of five children born to Herman Duvall and Elmira Langlois Duvall. She was a wonderful sister to all of her siblings and loved each of them dearly. At the young age of 12 years old, Lucille developed a love for God and for going to church. She was a faithful servant in the kingdom of God. Lucille was a powerful prayer warrior and had tremendous faith in the power of prayer. She truly believed that prayer could change any situation.
Lucille was a good wife to Carl Ansley, her loving devoted husband of 63 years enjoyed being a homemaker and a gardener. The plants and flowers in her yard were some of her most prized possession, and she took great pride in her ability to grow these beautiful plants. Prior to the days when sickness began to take her mind, if you went to visit her, she would walk you throughout her yard pointing out all of her beautiful plants and the joy that she took in them was always evident on her face. She kept their home spotless and loved decorating it. She made it a showplace with a vast collection of figurines, dolls, vases etc. Just like with the flowers in her yard, she loved being surrounded by beautiful things.
Lucille was known for her spirited personality. When she decided something, that was the way it was going to be. There was no changing her mind. When Carl retired after many years of working, she said that she was retiring too, and she did: from cooking. She would always laugh and say that she handed that job to Carl.
She is preceded by her father Herman Duvall; great grandson Ayden LaBauve.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband Carlton Ansley Jr.; mother Elmira Duvall; daughter Faye Ansley LaBauve and husband John LaBauve; son Arlen Ansley Sr. and wife Bonnie Ansley.
