Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Vita Salvato; brothers, Tony, Joseph and Louis Salvato. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Michael Montalbano, her children, Elizabeth McClurg, Rosalie and Terry Tauriello, Veda and Ken Graves, Marie and Aaron Lomax, Anthony and Kathryn Montalbano, Michael Jr. and Kathleen Montalbano, 18 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; and her sister-in-laws, Mary Platt and Julia Montalbano. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Louise is best known for the many lives that she touched as a wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She loved her family, cooking, socializing, and her Italian Heritage. She was an avid sports fan and had a personality that could light up a room.
Louise was a devout Catholic, active member of the Catholic Daughters, and founding member of the Happy Hearts at St Bartholomew Catholic Church where she served as a lay minister. Louise was active – she loved to dance, was a member of the Hey Lollies Square Dance Club and coached her children’s softball teams.
The family wishes to express their special appreciation to Louise’s niece, Dr. Patricia Salvato and her staff-for their exceptional care and attention. The visitation will be on Friday February 10th from 6-8pm, the Rosary will begin at 7pm at Forest Park Funeral Home Chapel on Westheimer. The funeral mass will begin at 8am on Saturday February 11th at St Bartholomew Catholic Church in Katy. Interment will immediately follow at the parish hall.
