Life Reflection "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ is for better." Philippians 1:21-23 On February 19, 1943, a baby boy was born to Mr. Lonnie L. Stewart Sr. and Mrs. Elma Kemp Stewart in Rose Hill Texas. Lonnie and his family moved from Rose Hill to Houston Texas when he was a young child. Lonnie attended school in the Aldine School District. Lonnie Jr. met and married Mary Frances Hodge on July 15, 1961. To this union six children were born, one preceded Lonnie in death, Lonnie Stewart II. Lonnie worked 25 years and retired from The City of Houston as a truck driver. Driving brought him great joy. Lonnie Jr. joined church at an early age and later as an adult, he became a member of Holy Valley Church of God in Christ where he served for many years. Lonnie Jr. later joined New Beginnings Holy Tabernacle and until his death was a faithful member of Kingdom Training Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Terrance Nolan. Lonnie Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Mary Frances Stewart, five children- Yolanda Noland (Larry Noland), Myra Stewart, Timothy Stewart (Troi Stewart), Wynne Haynes (Eric Haynes), Lonnie Stewart III (Leticia Holbert- Stewart). Lonnie Jr. also leaves One brother Willie Stewart Sr. (Debra Stewart), three sisters, Mildred Nolan, Mary Ellis and Debra Ann Stewart, 18 grandchildren, 6 great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
