She was born in Thompsons, TX to William and Pearlie Harrington. Lois was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with friends. She had a passion for growing plants and flowers. If you came to visit, it was a must to see her beautiful backyard. She was an avid collector of bottles and boxes and was very creative.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Samuel Reed McCauley, her parents, and brother William Harrington.
She is survived by her three daughters: Debra Collins, Sandra Davis, and Melissa Deaton (Tony); brother Alfred “Tuffy” Harrington; five grandsons: Bryan Lloyd (Elana), Jack Baird (Kimberly), Christopher Lloyd, William Baird (Candice), and Kevin Davis (Becca); 11 great grandchildren: Hayley,Haydyn,Jackson, Holly, Tyler, Alyssa, Sam, Olivia, Carson, Raena and Kennedy; and great great grandchild Hallie and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5PM to 9PM, Friday May 26th at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and the funeral service will be at 2PM on May 27th in the Colonial Chapel with interment to follow.
