Lois Marie Dobson was born February 12, 1952 in Houston, Tx. She passed away on February 13, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elna Goodman and husband Bill Dobson. She is survived by her children daughter Amanda Edwards (Richard Odom), son Neil Dobson (Melissa Dobson) and grandchildren Kaitlyn Edwards, Tracie Edwards and Henry Dobson. She is also survived by her brother Jim Goodman (Janet Goodman) and nephew Matthew Goodman (Amber Arnold) and niece Sarah Mosley (Brandon Mosley). Her family meant the world to her.
Lois grew up in Oak Forest. She attended Waltrip High School. It was there she met the love of her life, Bill Dobson. They married at 19, bought a home in Mangum Manor, and together they raised their children. She was very involved with her children celebrating everything with them. She enjoyed her grandchildren immensely. They brought so much joy to her life. She loved celebrating everything they did. She was a proud grandma. She enjoyed watching the Astros, listening to Neil Diamond, and watching the Hallmark channel.
Lois has numerous friends that she stayed in close contact with over the years. These friends range from those she grew up with on Woodcrest to Waltrip High School. She loved visiting and remembering all the great times she shared with her lifelong friends.
A gathering for Lois will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Heights Funeral Home, 1317 Heights Blvd, Houston, Texas 77008. Funeral service is scheduled for Friday, February 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 4040 Watonga Blvd., Houston, Texas 77092. A committal service will follow at 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, Texas 77055.
