Lizzie Mae Lofton Arceneaux was born to the late Samuel and Rose Dell Lofton on February 18, 1948, in Franklin, Louisiana. Lizzie graduated from Kashmere Gardens High School in 1967 and received her Bachelor’s degree in 1972 and Master’s Degree in 1978 both from Texas Southern University (TSU).
After receiving her Bachelor's Degree, she began working at NASA, but found her passion was teaching. She began her teaching career at Forest Brook High School in the Mathematics Department. She worked at various schools throughout her 40-year career and received many accolades and awards. Her greatest rewards were the success of her children and students. Liz, then chose to return to North Forest ISD and later retired from MB Smiley High School in 2010.
Her love for teaching continued as she dedicated her life as a Jehovah’s Witness on July 7, 1990. She attended pioneer school and served as full-time Pioneer for many years. Her strong faith and relationship with Jehovah were very important. Liz was committed to virtually attending meetings and studying her Bible for as long as she was able to. Her love for Jehovah was so great that she wanted to save everyone she came in contact with. She always taught her kids, that if someone has a pulse you talk to them.
