Lillian Marie Coleman

Lillian Marie Coleman, of Chandler, Texas, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from

complications during heart surgery. Lillian better know as “Cookie” was born on September

12, 1948, in Florence, Colorado to Wilbur V. and Bernice M. (Bryniarski) Pixler. She met the love of her life Gary D. Coleman in 1966 in Denver, Colorado. They were married in June of 1967

and remained so for the rest of her life. They celebrated 54 1/2 years together. Gary and Cookie went on to have two children a daughter Denise and a son Brian. They were blessed with eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren. Cookie graduated from Adam’s City High School in Commerce City, Colorado in 1966.

She was employed at King Soopers for 16 years where she was well known in the community, owned the Aunt Cookie’s Maytag store in Boulder, Colorado, and worked for SCI Corporation for

11 years before retiring. After retirement they moved from Colorado to East Texas to enjoy life together where they spent time fishing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Cookie was preceded in death by both parents and is survived by her husband Gary, their children Denise and

husband Chris Walker of Palestine, Texas, Brian and wife Angel Coleman of Hudson, Colorado.

Grandkids Aubrey Coleman and fiancé Tyler Knight, Kate Young and husband Ryan, Colin Walker, Conor Walker, Zec Coleman and Ashley Hornbaker , Kelly Walker, Chelsea and husband Joey Gomez , and Jessy Telck and Ashley Pearson. Great-grandchildren Alie, Anabell, and Vallen Gomez, and

Anthony Hornbaker. Two Brothers Jim Pixler and wife Dora and Butch Pixler and wife Kathy, Sister-in-law

Sharon Hamilton and many adored nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will not be held at this time. However, a Celebration of Life will take place next year.

The family would like to thank the Houston Methodist Hospital doctors and nurses of the Cardiac ICU for their compassionate care during Cookie’s stay as well as several people who worked within the hospital to make her, and the family feel welcomed and loved. They'd also like to thank all of our family and friends for their support, love and prayers.
